Is it possible not to like watermelon? It's certainly not unheard of, but with so many turning to the fruit for its taste and health benefits alike, those who turn their nose up at watermelons are quickly becoming a minority. Indeed, with many schools now incorporating watermelon as a part of the standard meal plan and dieticians increasingly including watermelon as part of a healthy eating plan, the popularity of this delicious, nutritious foodstuff shows no signs of slowing down. So what exactly is a watermelon, besides the healthy snack most likely to leave your ears wet? Originally grown in Sub-Saharan Africa, the term "watermelon" can refer to either the plant or fruit of a vine-like herb called Citrullus lanatus. While the watermelon is variably classified as a fruit and a watermelon, it is in fact a pepo, a type of berry with a thick rind and fleshy innards.

Papaya is tropical bliss. It is one delectable fruit that, is like a day trip to a sunny island. When it is available, I love this easy to eat, no-fuss, super-healthy fruit. Think of it as a yummy sugarless dessert.
Buy:
Most of us want instant gratification. I don’t know about you, but if I have a delicious fruit on my counter, it is calling my name from the moment I purchase it. Therefore, it is probably best to buy a ripe papaya, so there is no need to wait painstakingly for it to ripen. A ripe papaya will have a reddish-orange skin and will be slightly soft when you press on the outside.
